In transiting Astrology you look at the outer planets, not the inner, as the inner planets move too fast.

With transits you look at Pluto, Uranus, Neptune, Jupiter and Saturn. Also mars when it is retrograde.

I say you should look at what venus rules in your chart. If it rules the 1st or 9th it could be a good time for meditation & introspection. If it rules the 7th maybe you could meet someone in the context of an institutional environment, or through spiritual practices. The 12th isn't inherently negative.
