Using Transits in Prediction

If my Pluto [5 degrees] is squaring my Venus [6 degrees], is my Venus weaker than my Pluto because of it's higher degree? And if my Pluto is 5 degrees into Sagittarius and Venus is 6 degrees into Virgo, how can I use this to predict an event?

On the degrees, not necessarily. You'll have to take the whole chart into consideration.

On the event, you can't use the placement of the planets in your natal chart, only, to predict an event. You can predict an event by knowing the transiting planets, and their aspect to your natal planets, houses etc.
