Using a Coin, Glass & Paper

In the Philippines, not many uses Ouija Boards because majority are Catholics and or Christians  but we write the letters, numbers Yes, No and Goodbye features on paper and we use a coin.
If we don't use a coin the we use a glass, clear drinking glass.
Resourceful, yes but Is this a valid way where we can communicate with our GD or any Demons?
