Third Eye Assistance

Greetings one and all. I've encountered a frequent block regarding the Third Eye and Ectoplasm meditation. Though I can move energy freely throughout my body, perform rituals well, and even suspect I can do minor telepathy (willing the smoke from incense to move and coil and such), I can never seem to either see Ectoplasm or Energy via the Third Eye meditation. I am unaware if I am doing something incorrectly, have a deeper block than most, or am just incapable (though it would kill me if I were).
Any advice, suggestions, or instructions on how to get past this will be extremely helpful. Thank you all in advance.
