Speaking of making Tarot cards, I'm working on my own right now and I'm not really sure what I should do for "The Devil" card, at first I was thinking about making it into a Catholic Priest card, because of the description, but I thought that would be disrespectful. Any thoughts?

When you make tarot cards, because I tried to make a deck, I felt as though I had to program the meaning into each card.

Here's my 2 cents: There's nothing wrong with the word "devil"; I understand it's the masculine of "deva" and basically means a very wise and experienced teacher (this is probably an over-simplification of the definition.) Considering the basically transformative nature of the Devil card in Tarot I don't see this being a problem.

I started making a Tarot deck years ago -- long before dedication -- and still have some of the draft designs in my art files; don't know if I'll get back to it any time soon, but it's a great project for whomever is making their own deck.

TAROT cards, not "Terror" cards. LOL.

You have to design the back (one design for the whole deck) and EACH card of all four suits and the Major Arcana -- it's a huge undertaking but a project well worth it. I started the process years ago, as I mentioned in an earlier post, but never finished.

When you've done them all, you may have a couple of choices:
1) I've heard of (but not seen) blank decks of cards that you can use to transfer your completed designs onto; or
2) Do them on any higher quality paper and have them laminated. This seems like the best choice because it preserves your work and the cards themselves will stand up to a lot of use.
