scrying

i'm feeling a pull towards scrying. does anyone have any stories or advice for those who have already tired it?

I'm sure there was a scrying bit in the JoS site. still trying to find it..

I'm also feeling a pull towards it! And I'm planning on trying it for the first time tonight, I read the part of jos that had it earlyer today and I'm really excited to try it. Sorry I have never done it before but so I can't really offer any stories or advice

Hey, I'm at the part of my meditation program where I look into a black reflective surface. I'm using a small white bowl filled with barque's root beer. I just cant't seem to get anywhere, I don't 'see the clouds', my third attempt was last night. The flickering of my candle really distracts me from keeping a focused stare, and sometimes everything gets fuzzy and I have to refocus my vision, often by blinking a few times; is that okay?

yes, its ok, I also had empty experience half year ago, now after half year of various meditations I could reach a bit more of my right brain, and it is what gives the ability to see clouds. Scrying needs trance.

I did go into a trance, though it was hard because of the posture I had to sit in. And also I had to open my eyes, which I feel knocked me out of it.
So should I just go in to the next meditations on the regiment or keep trying until I succeed?

proceed meditations, here are some very nice ones for opening astral senses which are not on the site:Joy of Satan Newsletter  
 
also don't stress your eyes, wink as much as you are comfotable, sit in whatever comfortable position. Don't push yourself in any kind of prophesy, it should come natural with meditations. Persistence here means just bearing in mind that your interested in it and sometimes retry when you feel attraction to do so, but not pushing it on yourself.
