Hi there. What I did when I was living in Kampala was used the Southern hemispheres celebrations. If you're 5 centimetres South of the equatorial line then you're in the South. If you're 5 centimetres North of the line then you're in the North. Bear this in mind... The equatorial line serves as a man made guide to establish separation of the two, (North and South, "top" and "bottom") halves of the earth based on it's pivot (angle of moving tilt) as it orbits around the sun and celebrates the two stages of a day (day and night).
