WE are all entitled to our opinion here, and yes I admit I was a bit "over the top" with my first reply, but I believe my second reply was quite in line with the OP.

Get a reality check and just think for a moment; why would a God appear to a rank novice who has very little spiritual advancement and "grant him a wish"???? It's ABSURD and insulting to the Gods!

The GODS do whatever the GODS choose to do because they can. You are in no position to decide how spiritually advanced any member is and you're certainly in no position to declare what may or may not be absurd or insulting to the GODS concerning individual members.
