I have been initiated for about a year and I have been doing the meditations regularly, even running into issues a lot of times and solving them by myself. Yet, I haven't heard anything from my guardian demon nor other demons. Why is that? Why do they neglect me?

You are not neglected. Instead, you are not astrally open to receiving direct communication and are probably ignoring any signs from them coming your way. Continue developing yourself, and establish a connection to deities. You can do so by meditating on them, and their sigils, and doing Demon rituals, for example.
