No, he won't mind because it's not something you do by yourself anyway. But buddhist prayers? LOL. I thought buddhists didn't believe in an external being, and that they looked at Gautama buddha as merely a human being who reached nirvana and died and extinguished his own existence. What are they even praying to, because the past buddhas don't really exist according to them, they have reached total self-extinction. At least that's what I've got from my Buddhist studies.
