After you finish the mantra and affirmation for a Planetary Square of the day, can you ask your GD to direct the energy for you towards a proper manifestation of what you're looking for?

I'm planning to do a Jupiter Square for material purposes this Thursday, and I'll do several more. Would it be beneficial to ask my GD to direct the energy after I affirmed it, rather than let the energy try to fulfil its purpose using its intelligence?
