image visualization exercises

I'm working on image 1, I concentrate on it for a few minutes and then shut my eyes to visualize it. But the image keeps fading in and out and finally just disappears after about a minute. How do i keep the image fresh during visualization? or am i visualizing incorrectly?

Just keep practicing and try to stay focused. Over time you will be able to hold images for a lot longer.

Also, if you see the imprint of the image with your physical eyes when closed like the Flame Meditation then you're doing it the wrong way. You should have a mental view of the image, not a physical one, and see nothing with your eyes.
