Horror cults

Hello brothers and sisters, lately I've been watching a bunch of cult horror movies, and I've been curious about your opinion. Here follows a list of some of them:

Scream (and Scream 2)
Halloween (the very first movie)
Texas Chainsaw Massacre (both the old one and the remake)
Hellraiser (the first 4 movies)

I overall lightheartedly enjoyed them all, although I am not sure about their "role" for humanity, if they are any good or have nothing to offer to the human species.
