God rituals and Planetary influences

Does doing a God ritual to a God associated with the Planet positively affect the planetary ruling in my chart?

So for example, if I did a ritual for Lord Set who I read has Saturn as His planet, would Saturn’s negative influences over me lessen and its positive influences increase?

Does that happen automatically as I do the ritual, then meditate on the sigil, give thanks to the God and ask for guidance?

I do not know the answer to this one, but I wouldn't think so. Just because a God or a Goddess is associated with a planet does not have to translate to the ritual bettering specifically that planet. It could, of course, but I don't think it is rigidly set in stone like that. What about Gods who rule multiple planets, like Lord Thoth?
