Friend died

Greetings all.

I had a friend of the family die last week in a horrific car crash and wondered what would become of his soul. He was only 16 years old and his family was catholic. I'm not sure how religious he was if at all, but I know he wasn't an Zevism.

At the place of the accident, there is a memorial set up with teddy bears and the like. When I drive by, I give a little prayer to father to help him. My question is:

Will father take care of him or will the enemy torment him forever? If father can't take him, what happens to his soul?
