Do Hispanics actually exist

Hello, so this has been confusing for a while for me. I'm Hispanic my skin a very light tan white color and I know my parents are Hispanic as well. But here is the problem its says that Hispanic people are not real. So I went to my history teacher and she says they are. So I'm confused are Hispanic real or not. And if they are not then what is my actual race?

Hispanic exists but it is a geographic and cultural identity, not a race. Most Hispanics are White southern Europeans and some are a mix between White Spaniards and native Americans.
