chakra help

I can feel my chakras and know they are open, but they are not the color the said they are supposed to be. They seem to be a darker version, I have tried to clean them but they only become brighter not lighter. Is there a reason for this or am i doing something wrong? Can someone help me trouble shoot this problem?

Well keep on cleaning them and imagine your chakras lighter. Imagine your base chakra light red then your sacral chakra light orange and so on hopefully that would help!
