How is the Ascendant sign determined? What determines that? I am reading Azazel's Astrology for Satanists. If someone could please provide me with a link to the page it is on that would be great. Currently I am reading about The Sun.

You have to have the correct time of birth since the ascendant is where the eastern horizon was when you were born.
