I thought "Newbies" meant; A person new to computers and computer networks; computer neophyte. This is used to refer to new people on JOS. Is there some other definition I didn't see or something? A “newcomer” is a person or thing that has recently arrived; new arrival. A “novice” is a person who has been received into a religious order or congregation for a period of probation before taking vows. Why not "novices"? No big thing for me - just curious.
ictionaries are sacred documents. The enemy knows this. That is why the American Psychiatric Association took dictionaries and reading class out of public schools in 1963 and that's why we are having this conversation right now about "Noobs". Boobs, I'm OK with - Noobs; stupid, archaic slang term.
