I was led to believe that such beings were bad, or evil.

Yes, but look at the date at the end of the page, it is from 2002. It is a really old page they haven't updated, if you read the JoS site it does say that some of the articles are outdated and need update. There were some other pages from 2002 that talked about Jehova being real.

It is the same as some pages claiming Sumeria to be the first civilization but it is recently discovered that it does have its origins in its Far East.
