Saw an article that electric blue is acceptable for an alter if a black candle isn’t available. Does anyone have any information about that connection? Saw this gorgeous candle and it reminded me of reading that.

It doesn't matter too much what color you use when dedicating or what you put on your altar (not alter), but the 5 "best" or general is black, blue, white, gold, white-gold, and red.

You can use red, blue or black. There are no limits, altars are personal.

You can use any blue, red, or black candle, or all three, to make an initiation, or to contact the Satan.

In your case, one blue one will be enough.
