does yoga help with waking up, or going to sleep?

Yoga gives amazing amounts of energy if utilized properly. Some people do Yoga in the morning to get them ready for the day, while others do it at night. Just be prepared that you may not be tired if you do Yoga close to your bedtime. HAIL SATAN!!!

finally getting myself back into order..yoga is next on the list, to resume.

Kundalini yoga in the morning to energize you and get you ready for the day, hatha yoga in the evening to relax you and get you ready for sleeping. Or so someone said. I don't remember who right now, but I agree with those. After all hatha yoga is just like stretching in most of the basic poses. It only makes sense that it does relax you (but doesn't make you tired like regular stretching athletes and fitness enthusiasts do).
I would say that everything that raises your energy will help with waking up, while relaxing and releasing energy will will help you going to sleep. I hope this was helpful.
