In a way yes, but that's literally how human interactions work. If you're going to use your power, you're going to influence the world, there's no other way.
A girl may not use magic on you, but for example she's going to wear a dress around you. Is she forcing you to like her? Probably not, but she's definetely putting thoughts inside your head.
