Is it normal for nothing at all to happen? Does it mean I did something wrong or wasn't sincere enough (I don't know if its depression but I can't get myself to care about anything, no matter how important, is that it)?

If I'm still not sure about initiating myself, and haven't done the initiation yet, can I still contact Demons and have there be no reprucussions or anything of the sort? I hoped I would be able to ask some questions and get to know them better so I know exactly what it is I'm getting into...
