Fake Gates and fake Seals, they need a fake ritual and fake defensive magic to ward off a false danger, I suppose.

The entire manuscript to me looks computerized not just the seal, and that rules out the possibility that it could be a manuscript from the 1500s, and if it is fake at least it is not dangerous, at most useless.
